About the Course

"Tainonaíki for Beginners" is the first Taíno online course, using the latest language-learning technology. Now you can learn Taíno on your own or with a teacher. This online course is FREE to everyone and can be used on any device and from anywhere in the world.

  • Learn vocabulary, grammar, culture, and more.

  • Practice the 4 skills: reading, listening, speaking, writing.

  • Watch videos and have an immersive experience with 360-degree and virtual reality activities.

  • Get support in English or Spanish.

About the Course Creators

"Tainonaíki for Beginners" is a collaboration between Casa Areyto and 7000 Languages, a non-profit organization that empowers Indigenous, minority, and refugee communities to maintain and revitalize their languages. Javier A. Hernández, hyperpolyglot and creator of the Tainonaíki variant, served as a special consultant on the project.
